Booking is essential. We operate two sittings. The first, staggering bookings from 6-6.45pm (6pm, 6.15pm, 6.30pm and 6.45pm). This is ideal if you want to catch a gig race, slide show or just go for an evening stroll after dinner. We then allow 2 hours before re-booking the table. Bookings for the second sitting are staggered between 8 and 8.45pm. (8pm, 8.15pm, 8.30pm and 8.45pm). We ask that children come to the first sitting so that they can take advantage of the children's menu. Also, that parties of over 6 come either at 6.30pm or 8.30pm to enable us to have enough time to cater for a larger party. Those coming for the second sitting will have plenty of time to enjoy their meal as we do not close until 11pm. We do not take bookings on the decked area as those seats are subject to the weather. However, if you book inside and then want to sit outside when you arrive, you can, as long as a table is available.
We seat 34 inside. There is space for 20 on the decked area. On those halcyon evenings, even if you have not booked an inside table for an evening meal, why not come and join us on the decked area for a beer and tapas nibbles or coffee and pud and watch the sun go down.
We are surrounded by the gig sheds. The gig rowers train on most evenings. On Wednesday and Friday evenings (race nights), why not come and join us to see the gig rowers leave for their race, and return to pull their gigs back up the beach, when they often join us for a beer on the decked area and hear how it all went!
Disabled facilities are available, including wheel chair access to both the inside of the Restaurant and the outside decked area, and disabled, unisex toilets.
We take all major credit cards except AMEX and do not charge for use of either credit or debit cards. Having said that, it does cost us alot of money to offer this service, so cash or cheques are preferable if you are able to do so.
Just like children, quiet, well behaved dogs can accompany you, either inside or out.
We are available for private functions – weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or parties. Call Charlie to discuss the details and to obtain a quote. We can obtain a late license if so desired which can allow for live music, if you wish.

By day, Pete and I will be making the Islands Essential oils, using ingredients that we use in our cooking by evening at the Boat Shed, so that you can try to re-live the Boat shed experience by using these ingredients in your own cooking at home. Also, we would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase and have sent to you back home a Boat shed hamper with all of your favourite boat shed Scillonion fair, such as our own crab pate, white crab meat and lobster, suitable for special occasions such as a Birthday or Anniversaries. If you are in touch on either a Wednesday or a Thursday, this hamper of fresh Scillonian seafood can be delivered to your door on either a Friday or a Saturday and be ready to eat that night, upon your return from a busy day at work and for you to re-live those balmy evenings with us when you cannot join us in person! Just call us at the Boat Shed on 01720-423881 in advance to arrange delivery and payment.
